Born and raised in Delaware, Bill spent years mastering the 5-string banjo. With time, he realized that no one would pay to hear him play “Grits on the Griddle.” It began to seem as though doing what you love meant not quite making a living.
Being a “ginger,” Bill was always a target in high school and accustomed to rejection. With stats like that, how could he not become an actor??? His mom remembers him watching Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone and saying, “I could do that.” From begging rides to the day he acquired a loyal jalopy, his target was now the Big Apple. Bill spent every available day pounding-the-pavement in a painstaking effort to gain representation. He was almost ready to give up and go back to strumming serenades to his grandma when he acquired his first manager.

Bill soon got what he thought was his big break, a principal role in a Pepsi commercial. However, for some reason, scripts were not piling up in the mailbox. Could this be because he was only on screen for a mere 2¼ seconds, or that his college mailroom was inept? Realizing it was not the mailroom, Bill decided to tackle the big-time and make the leap to the stage at the world-renowned Apollo Theatre. Decked out in an Adidas jumpsuit and sporting a red Afro, he juggled a bowling ball, a torch, and a machete, while reciting the lyrics to “Rapper’s Delight.”

Surprisingly, Bill did not emerge victorious, but after years of therapy and an abundance of perseverance, he is back booking commercials, TV and movies. He just finished shooting a supporting role in Jeremy London’s directorial debut THE DEVIL’S DOZEN. Bill just appeared in CBS’s 2 Broke Girls and can currently be seen in FX’s JUSTIFIED on Jan 17 in the season 3 premiere.
